2012, I wish you well!

I GOT A NEW COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sure that i was going to curl into a ball of mopey, sorrowy, patheticness without one lol. I was DYING to blog (even though I'm only at the stage where I'm pretty much just talking to myself) and i couldn't bring myself to do it from my cellphone. My grandma has a net book and while i get the whole convenience of having a miniature laptop I was finding it almost impossible to type on. Thus, I was left to just read, blog stalk, and try to find ways to get around the domain blocks at my job (fail LOL) so that I could JUST WRITE!

That being said I am MORE than glad the year is over with. I'm not really big on making resolutions for the new year but I have been noticing some things about myself that I know I need to work on. So, I do look forward to making some changes, not only for the sake of it being a "new beginning" but because I know the things that I have to work on will make me a better, stronger and well-rounded individual. I don't have expectations for 2013 to be perfect and I actually think it is going to be a whole new set of challenges for me but, I've always been a winner. ;)

Goodbye 2012.

... && I promise to be a good customer.

Working in retail really makes you appreciate the customer service industry. We all have our unflattering customer moments where we yell, get annoyed, ask for management and pretty much just try to get over (no? just me? ok lol.) but within the last few years ive had the pleasure of being on the recieving end it let me tell you how LIFE changing it has been lol. I find myself constantly saying "im never THAT bad when i go into a store" because youo wouldnt believe how shopping makes some people come off as incredibly rude, or incompetent zombies!
Are people just getting spoiled?

WHY do you need me to come help you use a kiosk that has all the information CLEARLY written across the screen??

WHY are you asking me for change when there's a big yellow sign that says MACHINE DOES NOT GIVE CHANGE??

WHYYYYYY are you acting like this is the first cell phone you've ever recieved in life????

Reading is fundamental people.... Technology is making some of you guys very very lazy. That being said I still love my job and I get amazing laughs out of some of the craziness I hear on a daily basis. You wouldnt believe it....

Because life has a secret vendetta against me...

My laptop died. Not only did I fall in love with writing again, but I'm starting school in a month... So now I have no choice but to buy a new one.

**passes around the collection plate**

Because apparently something being a little easy is an unknown conundrum

For Better or….. For Show?

First blog confession: I am quite the girly girl.

I have no problem admitting to being a hopeless romantic and I love all things love but quite recently (and I mean within the past couple months or so) I’ve had to face reality and my fairytale dreams have been washed ashore. Now I’m WELL aware that everything is emphasized on TV but for some reason I’ve always had this depiction of love and perfect romance. The whole boy meets girl, they fall in love, realize they cant live without each other happily ever after blah blah blah thing REALLY had me going LOL and I have yet figured out where I developed such HIGH expectations for real life.

It could just possibly be the generation that I’m growing up in now and the examples that I’ve seen in real life, but I honestly feel like marriage is a joke. Sad to say that if you would have asked me a year ago my opinion of marriage, it would have been completely different than how I feel today. There’s no commitment, there's no faithfulness and there’s no “I cant live without you” feeling. It’s not being treated all that differently than dating and dating in itself is a struggle. Not to even begin to mention the never-ending circus of marriages that are portrayed throughout the media and reality TV.

But all of this really has me wondering…..

Are average people only getting married because of societal pressure? Is it because they just feel like its “the next step”? Or am I JUST pulling my head out of the clouds at 22???

Meet Me!

Hello blog world! I’m Tanay, 22 and completely new to this blog thing. Im actually starting it as a hobby and a way to keep myself busy which is pretty funny because I already feel like I don’t have time for anything as it is! LOL. I just recently (read as: yesterday) decided it was time for me to try to find myself (whatever that means) and I’m thinking this may help me along the way. I’m not sure where this is going to go, and I don’t know who is going to follow, but I’m all for new adventures. I’m hoping to learn new things, meet new people, and gain a lot of insight along the way. This should be fun =)

P.S. Please excuse me if my grammar is atrocious as I haven’t had the need to write a proper sentence in quite some years! LOL.

And for the visualists…. my life is pretty much this….
