Relationships are HARD [[&& 5 Things Friday]]

I have the most amazing boyfriend in THE WORLD. A good partner is hard to come by especially in these days with all the media and sexual brainwashing. We live in a society that praises "big booty hoes" and women with goals, dreams, and ambition have a seat on the back burner. IT is HARD being in a relationship. But so worth it if its something you want!

Thus I come to 5 Things Friday. I've had writers block for THE longest and even though this is a personal blog I found myself at a loss for HOW I wanted to say what I wanted to say. But I'm back in full effect (I think) and I'm starting with:

5 Things It Helps Me to Remember in my Relationship

1. Communicate!

If you can't talk to your partner, it'll never ever work. The good, the bad, the random! It's an amazing feeling to feel like you can pour your heart out to someone. Start with baby steps and make your way up, but it is very very important to have that open line of communication.

2. Being mad is OK.

I'm a firm believer that you can love someone with everything you have and not like them everyday. Some days I'd like to give my boyfriend a good swift kick.... LOL. But going back to #1 its important to talk it out. TALK being the operative word... if you cant communicate without getting upset its OK to take a break and revisit the issue. And it is OK to go to bed angry. Sometimes exhaustion and high emotion don't mix. Sleeping  it off always makes me feel better. And I don't feel guilty about going to bed upset. My boyfriend knows when I'm mad at him, I don't love him any less. Sometimes it helps to just recollect.

3. Privacy is the best policy.

Some of the most well liked celebrity couples, we know nothing about their relationships. Social media is not an outlet for everything. Some aspects of your relationship just do not need to be shared. Females especially have a habit of venting to their friends every time their partner upsets them. When you leave room for other people to give their opinion, they're going to give it. The best thing to do when your mad, is to separate yourself from the situation and do something that is going to make yourself feel better. Then when you're over it and you speak to your partner THEN tell your girlfriends if you MUST. I know there are some times when you just NEED to speak to someone else about the situation but the first person you should speak to is the one involved.

4. Timing is everything. Space is essential

Its important to spend time together, but every waking moment, gets overwhelming. It's really true what they say you have to have time to miss them. As cute as it is to be "always together" everything in moderation. Even married couples need time apart. I'm not saying separate vacations or anything but 24/7. That's asking for you to be clawing each other's eyes out.

5. There are no rules.

Don't let anyone define what your relationship should be like. Everyone is different and what works for some people, doesn't work for everyone. You know your significant other better than ANYONE. What makes you happy, as long as your both healthy, is perfection.

All that being said, these are just things that I look at when I'm thinking about MY relationship. Like I previously stated what works for some might not work for all and there really are NO rules. I've never been big on letting other people define me and lucky for me my boyfriend accepts me all craziness included.

The End ^_^

5 Things Friday!

Im snowed in! In all actuality there is no snow outside at all. It might be raining, but I dont think its snowing at all. However, today is my day off and thus you'd think I was being productive but..... Nope. So today.....

5 Things That I Should (but probably wont) Do While I'm Snowed In!

1. Clean my room. Because when you shop as excessively as I do, you run out of space for things. And I have random piles everywhere! It drives me crazy to look at, yet I dont even know where to begin.
2. Get ahead on some school work..... procrastination at its finest. I read... but most of my assignments require writing... and im just not in the mood for it.
3. Spend some time with my grandma. And shes only in the living room. Its not that I dont WANT to... I just feel like she's going to talk me to death, and then our time is going to be very short lived.
4. Catch up on some sleep. Because with starting school, and trying to balance that, work and personal life... I've probably only slept 3/4 hours a night for the passed couple weeks. But even this morning I woke up bright and early like I had somewhere to go.... and I cant do the nap thing anymore. I used to LOVE sleeping during the day. Now I just cant seem to force myself to do it.
5. Come up with a more effective way of doing all the things that I want/need to do. I need to schedule, organize and plan. This ranges from ways to arrange time, save money, and eat better.

Alas... I have a decent amount of time to do all these things I've listed.... But I dont feel like doing anything... I just want to veg. And ill probably spend the day blog hopping, watching netflix, and checking facebook and instagram. I suck... LOL

5 Things Friday...

Hello loves! Just a heads up this is going to come off as a grumpy post. Its not though at all! I've actually had a great week and I'm still in a great mood today! I just started thinking randomly and what better place to put ALL random thinking? So...

5 Things that I just don't like....

  1. I don't overly LIKE Fridays. Working in retail I work weekends 99% of the time so for me Friday is just another day. It's actually a day I've come to dread because I have to get up every Friday morning and go to a stupid meeting in which nothing of importance is ever discussed or things I could have figured out on my own are OVER reviewed. So I hate Fridays, but I know that will change once i have a M-F job (if only!)
  2. I don't like partying. Don't get me wrong I don't HATE it. If someone invites me to a party ill go, ill have way too much fun, and I probably wont remember it! But I don't find myself wondering where or when  the next party is like the typical 20-something year old.
  3. Incorrect spelling drives me insane! There is literally spell check EVERYWHERE! I have a habit of correcting peoples spelling all the time. They hate it, I cant help it. Incorrect grammar bugs me too but even I suck at that sometimes, so I'm not AS anal about it.
  4. No matter how many times I repeatedly tell people I DON'T like being touched.... they still touch me! My face, my hair.... It makes my skin crawl. If I haven't invited you into my personal space, please stay out of it.
  5. I don't like being cold. Bears have the completely right idea about hibernation! If only it were acceptable for humans.

So when I went back over my post with spell check I noticed I made up my own contraction LOL. "That'll" isn't a real word? Since when? I swear I hear people say that all the time! Hmph... lol... Well anyway.. What are some things you guys don't like? Or what are some things that you guys love that I mentioned that I don't like? OR just comment to say hey... WHATEVER works for you guys lol.
